"Ingredients and Uses"
Tranexamic acid: Inhibits melanin synthesis, blocking the interaction of melanocytes and keratinocytes by inhibition of the plasminogen/plasmin system, and also prevents ultraviolet ray induced pigmentation. It is the only ingredient that can actually reduce the chance of melasma recurrence.
Glutathione: Master antioxidant. It directly inactivates Tyrosinase enzyme.
Azeloglycine: Improved form of Azelaic acid. It has a Tyrosinase inhibitor effect, anti-proliferating and cytotoxic effect on hyperplasic melanocytes. Powerful keratolytic and antioxidant effect.
Kojic acid: Inactivates tyrosinase. Melanocytes treated with Kojic acid become non-dendritic, with a decreased melanin content.
Alpha Arbutin: Blocks epidermal melanin biosynthesis by inhibiting enzymatic oxidation of Tyrosine and Dopa. It also inhibits melanosomes maturation.
Glycolic and citric acid: Diminish corneocyte adhesion and promotes cellular mitosis, accelerating cellular renovation and the penetration of topical agents. They facilitate the removal of melanised keratinocytes through desquamation, lightening hyper pigmented areas. Important antioxidant & regenerating properties.
Ascorbic acid: Avoids and reduce hyper pigmentations, blocking melanin synthesis and capturing free radicals. It decomposes preformed melanin and inhibits the polymerization of melanin.
